3、he elderly are the colony who spend the longest time in the habitationcommunities, as well as, the colony who reckon most on them. Therefore, it isimportant to know how the elderly use the community environment in their

4、daily lives,what their demands on the community environment are, especially for the sustainabledevelopment of the habitation communities in the Hanzheng Jie district. Accompaniedwith the population aging becoming a commo

5、n phenomenon in Wuhan, the populationaging in the Hanzheng Jie district coming into focus, it is crucial for the communitiesin the Hanzheng Jie district to find out how to settle those problems energetically,

6、which are brought out by the population aging. The purpose of this research is toexamine how the elderly use the community environment in their daily lives, whattheir demands on the community environment are, to probe in

7、to those environmentalarrangements and social organizations, finally to bring forward correspondingsuggestions rationally and effectively to better commuties.The object of this research is the interaction between the dai

8、ly of the elderly andthe community environment, choosing Wan’ an community as a typical case,employing structured field observation and in-depth interviews of the elderly to knowthe environment of Wan’ an commun

9、ity, the interaction between their daily life,intercourse and environment, desires for the aged lives and the community servicenetwork for the elderly. After some discussion on the findings, a few suggestions aremade bot
