3、e population movement ‘s scales was large. Population movements includes population migration and flows. With the increasing of the population movements, there are a lot of elderly left behind in rural areas, and they in

4、 all aspects of life are facing with lots of certain challenges.“Sports career development '12th Five-Year' planning “ pointed out that we needed to strengthen the organization and leadership of the elderly sport

5、s activities, and guide them to participate in physical activities actively .Physical activities have a certain promoting role to improve the whole health of the elderly , and can improve the physical function of them an

6、d prevent some disease from them in a certain extent .At the same time, physical activity can promote the exchange of the elderly, reduce their feeling of loneliness, and promote the mental health. The eassay useing the

7、method of studying documention, questionnaire survey, interview, making mathematical statistics and other research methods to investigate present situation of physical activities of rural elderly in Yongchengcity,HeNan p

8、rovince under the population movements background. The results show that :1.About 93 percent of the rural elderly among those surveyed stay at home that , mainly based on home care, and there is the phenomenon of “atavis

9、m family“ ,“empty nesters“ ;2.Mostly the 60-70 years ’elderly take participate in physical activities among the those surveyed in rural areas, and 50.7% do not take participate in physical activities;3.The elderly usuall

10、y choose to take part in physical activities in the morning, and the time of physical activities can last longer than half an hour about 73.1% of them every time, and the number of participating in physical activity thre

11、e times a week is less than half;4.The purpose of Yongcheng city’rural elderly to participate in physical activities is that they want to talk and prevent some diseases, and they often choose the nearest place, such as i

12、n the asphalt, new rural communities.The physical activities are that do not need huge intense ,like jogging, walking, tai chi and so on;5.There are fewer rural elderly alone taking participate in physical activities amo

13、ng those surveyed ,and usually more than five people get together with the activities,moreover the person of getting together are more stable. About 47.5% of the surveyed get used to doing physical activities with the sa
