2、 more and more complicated; their functions become more and more powerful; the communication between system and system, system and computer is becoming more and more important. Formerly, the communication between syst
3、ems usually use serial communication interface (SCI), which is cheap and simple. But the speed of SCI is too slow to meet the need of the high-speed data transmission in real time. So, the aim of
4、 my project is to design a high-speed interface between embedded system and computer. Through balancing the excellences and disadvantages between USB and IEEE1394, we selected the USB2.0 interface to pe
5、rform the communication between embedded system and computer. USB is a bus protocol issued in the late of last century. It is applied widely in interfaces between computer and computer external devices becaus
6、e of its excellences: easy to use, high-speed and supporting to cut in or pull out on-line. USB2.0 interface use two lines to transmit data within five meters, and the fasted speed can reach to 480Mbps
7、. We have designed out an efficient, steady USB2.0 interface circuit by studying the USB protocol deeply. We have used the DSP chip of TMS320F2812 as the controller of build-in system. This chip is a new
8、 product reseased by TI. Its speed of instruction performance is 150MIPS, which is nearly one hundred times of other MCU’s. TMS320F2812 has been built in high-speed A/D conversion cell and other external devi
9、ces; it will be used in many fields. We have studied the characteristics, capabilities, parameters and external circuit demands of this chip deeply; have completed circuit design and debugging. Aiming at the ch
10、aracteristics of the DSP, we have designed efficient software to perform USB protocol, achieved to the high-speed data transmission between system and computer. The result of experiments indicated that our system wor
11、ks steady and performs well. The interface of USB2.0 between TMS320F2812 DSP and computer has good performance, simple structure, low power consumer, and low cost. Key words: USB interface DSP data t
