2、dernization of education is conducted as well.The priority of a new system is the education of younger generation in the conditions of respect,understanding and tolerance to people with cultural diversity.Multicultural e
3、ducation is a relatively new area of pedagogical theory and practices of educational institutions in many countries.
In recent years in the pedagogical science and practice many countries,particularly Russia focus o
4、n the problem of teacher's professional development in a multicultural educational space.Scientific basis of solving the problem about matching the professionalism of the teacher and new socio-cultural conditions of Russ
5、ian education can become the concept of development teacher's professional-psychological characteristics in a multicultural educational space,which includes a scientific interpretation of the phenomena of"multicultural e
6、ducational environment","professional-psychological characteristics,""professional development of teachers in multicultural educational space";a system of principles and approaches to the study of teacher's professional
7、development in a multicultural educational space;external and internal factors determining this process;psycho-pedagogical technologies of support of teacher's professional development in a multicultural educational spac

Teacher's professional development in a multicultural educational space seen as an open process of certain development of professional-psychological characteristics,which is a set of individually-psychological qu
9、alities,challenging professional competence and orientation of the individual,and providing constructive inter-ethnic relations between different ethnic communities,as well as maintenance of moral and ethical norms of a
10、multicultural cooperation in the educational system.
In the context of teacher's professional development in a multicultural educational space,regularities of this process,based on the characteristics of multicultur
11、al educational space are the conceptual valued.The specific character of the teacher's professional-psychological characteristics depends on the region of residence,stages of teachers'professional development and a level
12、 of education where implementing educational activities.
Professional-psychological characteristics of teachers working in a multicultural educational space are significantly different from the professional-psycholo
13、gical characteristics of teachers working in a monocultural educational space.The most important teacher's characteristics for a multicultural educational space are positive ethnic identity,belonging to a traditional cul
14、ture,collectivism,mobility,adaptability,intercultural and interreligious tolerance,readiness,optimism,entrepreneurship.Regional peculiarities of multicultural educational space affect on the development of teacher's prof
15、essional-psychological characteristics,determining the specificity of their developing.
Therefore,the leading idea of this research is the development of professional-psychological characteristics of a teacher in a
16、multicultural educational environment.In this thesis I explored the factors and regularities of process of the development teacher's professional-psychological characteristics in a multicultural learning space,determined
