1、China' s foreign trade grows rapidly since adopted reform and open policy, especially after its entry into WTO. In 2004 China ranks third in global trade, so the status of large trade country is established. But to trans

2、form into a strong trade country, we mustn't be satisfied with the quantity, we ought to analyze the structure and connotation of foreign trade.Therefore, this paper tries to do some initial research on trade policy and

3、trade structure of our country theoretically and empirically. There are five parts in my paper: The first part introduces the background, significance,method, creation and insufficiency of my research.

4、The second part is theoretical base of the paper, which presents the theory of international trade after explaining the concept of foreign trade structure, and adds the debate of academic authority in comparative advanta

5、ge that is the basis of foreign trade structure transformation. The third part summarizes and estimates objectively the course of China's foreign trade in the past 25 years . It is mainly empirical analysis. Firstl

6、y it analyses the alteration of foreign trade structure, then by index of RCA 、 RNX and regression model illuminate the foreign trade structure. The forth part indicates the reasons of foreign trade transformation.

7、 Such as the failing of traditional comparative advantage, departure between the foreign trade structure and industry structure, and international trade trend. The last part tries to ascertain the choice of foreig
