7、s under study. Based on the resolved businessrequirements, the thesis formulates a working system design which includes the database,system architecture, security, as well as GUI (graphical user interface), in order to

8、establish an efficient, cost effective, and last longing information system, in which thiscase is the NBIMS.The thesis reveals different frameworks for understanding and doing requirementdetermination and specificati

9、ons. The well defined business requirement encompassesfunctional, user interface, system, and security requirement specifications. Thesespecifications serve as a ground base for business modeling using the database des

10、ign andmodeling using the E-R diagram and Relational model, as well as choosing theappropriate on-the-shelf software products for the information system development andimplementation, such software are the Microsoft S

11、QL 2000 Server for the backenddatabase development, and Delphi for the front-end user interface applicationdevelopment. Further more, the determined system and security specifications pointtoward the implementation of

12、 the more advanced and advantageous system architecturewell known as the Multi-tier client/server system architecture, and a three level generalsecurity mechanism - operating system level, user interface level, and dat
