3、ing(VAPP)providesengineersanewefficiencyway.PreviousstudiesinVAPParealmostisolateddispersivehavenotestablishedawholeunderstingdiscussedkeyrealizationtechniquesofVAPPfromasystemicintegratedview.Theintegratedvirtualassembl
4、yprocessplanning(IVAPP)systemisanewvirtualrealitybasedengineeringapplicationwhichoffersengineersanefficientintuitiveimmersiveintegratedmethodfassemblyprocessplanninginavirtualenvironment.Basedonanalysistheinfmationintegr
5、ationrequirementofVAPPthearchitectureofIVAPPisproposed.ThroughtheintegratedstructureIVAPPsystemcanrealizeinfmationintegrationwkflowcontrolling.IndertomodeltheassemblyprocessinIVAPPahierarchicalassemblytasklist(HATL)ispre
6、sentedinwhichdifferentassemblytasksfassemblingdifferentcomponentsareganizedintoahierarchicallist.Aprocessientedautomaticgeometricalconstraintrecognitionalgithm(AGCR)isproposedsothatgeometricalconstraintsbetweencomponents
7、canbeautomaticallyrecognizedduringtheprocessofinteractiveassembling.Atthesametimeaprogressivehierarchicalreasoning(PHR)modelisdiscussed.AGCRPHRwillgreatlyreducetheinteractivewkload.Adiscretecontrolnodemodel(DCNM)fcableha
8、rnessassemblyplanninginIVAPPisdetailed.DCNMconvertsacableharnessintocontinuousflexedlinesegmentsconnectedbyaseriesofsectioncenterpointsdesignscanrealizecableharnessplanningthroughcontrollingthosecontrolnodes.Mechanicalas
9、semblies(suchastransmissioncaseengineofautomobile)areusedtoillustratethefeasibilityoftheproposedmethodalgithms.TheapplicationofIVAPPsystemrevealsadvantagesoverthetraditionalassemblyprocessplanningmethodinshteningthetimec
10、onsumedinassemblyplanninginminimizingthehlingdifficultyexcessivereientationdissimilarityofassemblyoperations.theexperienceofassemblyoperats.Significantprogresseshavebeenmadepreviouslyinestablishingavirtualenvironment(VE)
11、tomake“assistwith”assemblyplanningrelatedengineeringdecisions.Theyprovideanimptantbasisfthecurrentwk.Howeversomeimptantkeyrealizationtechniquessuchasinfmationintegrationassemblymodelautomaticgeometryconstraintrecognition
12、cableharnessassemblyprocessplanningarenotdescribedindetail.Thepurposeofthispaperistodescribethepreliminaryresultsofanintegratedvirtualassemblyprocessplanning(IVAPP)systemsomekeyrealizationtechniquesintheIVAPPsuchasthearc
13、hitectureofIVAPPhierarchicalassemblytasklist(HATL)fourlayercollisiondetectionalgithm(FLCDA)discretecontrolnodemodel(DCNM)fcableharnessassemblyplanninginavirtualenvironmentarediscussed.2KeyTechniquesofIVAPPSystem2.1Archit
14、ectureofIVAPPInavirtualenvironmentthemostcommonwaytoexpressthepartmodelisbasedonapolygonaldeionsatisfyingtherealtimerequirement.HenceCADmodelshavetobepolygonizedinavirtualenvironment.Howeverthispolygonizationthrowsawaymu
15、chsemanticinfmationwhichisimptantfautomaticgeometricalconstraintrecognitionintheIVAPPsystem.ThustheadditionalinfmationmustbeexptedfromtheCADmodelsothersystemstransferredtotheIVAPPsystem.IntheIVAPPsystemthemodeldatacomefr
16、omtwoplacesasfollows.(1)ThegeometryinfmationdataobtainedfromCADmodelsincludingpolygonalmodelconstraintrelationsbetweenthepartssubassembliesBRepdata(includingsurfacesitsoutlinestheboundaryedgessomeimptantaxes)ofthepartsth
17、efinallocationsientationsofthepartssubassemblies.(2)Thegeneralinfmationdataobtainedfromproductdatamanagement(PDM)systemincludeparts’nametypematerialmassvolumesoon.Meanwhileasoneofthecomponentsinthewholevirtualproductdeve
18、lopmentintegrationsystemIVAPPsystemmustrealizeinfmationintegrationwithothersystems.TheIVAPPsystemrealizesinfmationintegrationthroughthePDMsystem.TheIVAPPsystemrealizesdatasharingflowcontrollingthroughthePDMsystem.CADmode
