4、etwork and manager themselves automatically. However, the access control mechanism for these distributed services is still not available, especially the role- based access control (RBAC) mechanism. Traditional role-

5、 based access control systems depend upon a central trusted computing base administered by a single authority, which doesn ’t adapt to the distributed computing environment.With the above context, this t

6、hesis starts from the basic background knowledge, and then introduces the Simple Public Key Infrastructure (SPKI) that provides a precise and simple framework for naming and authorization in a distributed environ

7、ment. SPKI is also the core theory of the thesis.Subsequently, the security requirements of SODS are analyzed. Requirement analysis is based a scenario which leads to a small number of high- level security
