2、 Physics Field: Nuclear Physics Grade: 2006 Abstract Based on the α -particle model of 12C nucleus, 12 d C ?elastic scattering have been evaluated within the framework of Glauber multiple scatterin
3、g theory. The Glauber multiple-scattering theory is widely applied to study hardon-nuclei and nuclei-nuclei scattering. In this theory, hardon-nuclei and nucleus-nucleus elastic scattering can be described successful by
4、using two-particles scattering amplitude data as input. We choose two types of deuteron form factor, one is the sin of Gaussian form, and the other is the sum of Gaussians form. For form factor of 12C nucleus, we choose
5、 the one of the α -particle distribution in the nucleus. In this work, we use two types of N α ?scattering amplitude, one is the parameterized p α ?amplitude, and the other is the microscopic N α ?amplitude. At the energ
6、ies 200 and 350MeV, there have been data in Ref. [40] for p α ?amplitude parameters available. At the energies 40, 66 and 85MeV, where no data for parameters are available, we determined those parameters by fitting exper
7、imental data. The parameters for p α ?amplitude at the energies of 47, 62.5, 78, 212.5MeV have been determined by interpolating between the available ones. We use parameterized N-N amplitudes to construct the microscopic
8、 N α ?amplitude within the framework of Glauber theory. The 12 d C ?elastic scattering differential cross sections are calculated at six incident energies between 94 and 650 MeV and a comparison with the results and exp
9、eriments is made. The aim of the present work is to examine the α -particle model of 12C nucleus by the intermediate energy 12 d C ?elastic scattering. The success of the predictions once again provides a support to th
