4、d of residents’ information which changes unceasingly, for better management of residents’ information, the paper proposed introduces 3D GIS technology into the management of residents’ information to build a 3D resident
5、s information system basing on 3D GIS technology and facing the department of local government. The key technology of choice and memory of 3D data, construction and optimization of 3D scene is discussed in detail. And th
6、e system structure, function design, database design, the flow of the system realization and the relevant technical problems are studied. The folloing achievements have been acquired: (1) The integrated modelling method
7、of SketchUp and ArcGIS is studied to found the Multipatch three-dimensional model data, the data realized each inhabitant's house takes an entity alone on the building of residence. So the essential condition is crea
8、ted to inquiry inhabitant information of clicking each household model. (2) Real texture pictures are pasted on all the buildings of the experimental area, and real 3D terrain is created by the remote sensing image and t
