3、hemistry, investigating the emerging behaviour or properties of the whole complex system. has a central role to understand the spontaneous evolution of Nature. We report on a few aspects of supramolecular chemistry of gu

4、anosine derivatives and their implications in material sciences, medicine and nanotechnology.
   The chirality is one of the most important geometrical properties in the organic and biological world. The natural proc

5、esses: auto-recognition and self-assembling, are both the driving forces of all the living systems either at molecular leVel or at cellular level. The applications of new chiral nanomaterial are powerful tools in all the

6、 scientific fields where the molecular recognitions is the fundamental process under study (sensor, bioimaging, biointerface recognition process, drug deliver, cancer therapy, asymmetric catalysis and enantioselective se

7、paration). For this purpose we used the molecule guanosine 5'-monophosphate (5'-GMP) as organic chiral ligand to impose a chiral environment for the preparation of an optical active Iigand protected gold nanostructures.

8、Different reducing agents have been used to obtain new chiral metal nanostructure morphologies.
   We report the chemical reduction of silver ions incorporated into chiral supramolecular nanostructures by NaBH4 in bu

9、ffered (basic) and unbuffered conditions. In situ self-assembly of guanosine 5'-monophosphate (5'-GMP) templated by Ag(Ⅰ) and generation of silver nanoparticles (NP) were continuously monitored by CD and UV-Vis spectrosc

10、opy measurements. 5'-GMP has been identified as an efficient chiral organic ligand to complex silver ions into a hierarchical helical nanostructure and is a useful capping agent for stabilizing silver NPs with a size dia

11、meter lower than 20 nm. The observation of opposite signed bands in the CD spectra of Ag(Ⅰ)/5'-GMP complexes at different pH has suggested the existence of opposite- handed supramolecular helical structures depending on

12、pH. Both helical supramolecular structures induce chirality in the silver NPs during their growth of the same handedness as shown by the CD signals in plasmon resonance band.
   The effective contribution that Micror

13、eactor Technology (MRT) could bring in the process of nanomaterials production is widely discussed. Among many possible applications for microfluidic devices it is a challenge to generate a concentration gradient, i.e to

14、 perform analytical serial dilution for μTAS or to carry out chemical reaction with different molar ratio of reagents, this is one of the main task to develop a Iab-on-chip platform.
   Many approaches have been deve

15、loped to create aqueous gradient solutions, but the complexity of such systems have limited their use. We present a PDMS/glass-based microfluidic device based on a new and compact geometry for the generation of sigmoidal
