3、n 1949. Simone de Beauvoir uniquely put existentialism into the research of female issues. She proposed to abandon the general attitude towards the female destiny , especially the view of cons

4、idering the women as the “ lowler social status” and “ l ow- gradde” .Simone de Beauvoir applied “ the Subject”and “ the Other”as the existentialist basic proposition to amphotericity ,and she thoug

5、ht the “eternal femininity ”is found on the society and culture.In thoundants of years, patriarchy, biology and literature all overemphasize on women’ s inferiority and incompetence,and women just

6、repeats this sad destiny. She appealed that women should recognize the false essence of the “ femininity” , get back to the essense as a human being, reconstruct herself through positive action

7、s and find the real value. There has been a lot of disputation about this book since it is publishde . But it has been a monument for the improvement of the female situation, the female l

8、iberation and the feminist movement which started 20 years later.This thesis will analyze The Second Sex systematically and will grasp the meanings and essence of her femisnist thoughts, then try

9、 to give an appropriate analysis and appraise to this book. The key of the first part is the relationship between women and “ the other” , “ exisence precedes essence” and so on, then propose

10、the diffecence between the Marxist female viewpoint and the study of female problems in The Second Sex. Simone de Beauvoir didn’ t agree with the discourse of biology, depth psychology, and en

11、gels’economics. In her opinion, standing in the point of existentialism, people can discern more deep cause and the real situation for the oppression of women , then she reckoned that patriarchy was th

12、e source of how the female is modeled and the reason why woman’ s feminine character is nurtured. The third part proposed the liberation way of the female. The author first analyzed several

13、distorted roles of free female characters, then enumerated the obstacles of the female liberation, explored the liberation way showed by Simone de Beauvoir for modern day women. Keywords: the Se
