2、ity in Henan province, which is the capital of the ancient seven dynasties in the history of China. In the northern song dynasty ， it was well known by people as the royal temple，and it has a history of more than 1450 ye

3、ars up to now. In history it has raised lots of eminent monks and elitists and saw all kinds of buddhist ceremonies and culture activities. Thus it has a deep cultural deposits；especially as for its buddhist music cultur

4、e, it has a long history and far-reaching influence. With the reference to the relevant documents literature on it, this thesis mainly represents the overall outline of the Daxiangguo Temple musical culture on the basis

5、 of the on-the-spot inspectation of it and the analysis and summarization of the materials about it. The first chapter systemetically outlines the development progress of the temple budihist music. The second chapter ana

6、lyzed the conditions of the music and sorts the vocal form and system such as the buddihist music praise ket opern attune and the third chapter lists the types of the ceremonies and especially spots on the ceremony progr

7、ess of the Buddha’s Birth Day as the research object to protrate the tone in the Buddha ceremony of Daxiangguo temple, combined with the assumnation proposed by Cao ben ye that goes like this “ the theoretical outline of

8、 the system belief ceremonial music” and the three basical variable thinking methods- “near-far”, “inside-outside” and“fixed-flexible”. The fourth chapter analyzes and protrates the situations of its exist, the develpmen

9、t and the transitions of the buddhist music in modern times. In a word, this thesis will give us a good approach to the whole traditional music culture in China and a beneficial supplement to the development and inherit
