4、uilt in Ming Dynasty. Zhangshi’s authority of office， selection， status， going up or down are definitely stipulated， which are the important guarantees that they can realize their political functions． The princes have gr

5、eat power in the earlier Ming, the Court attach importance to Zhangshi. Zhangshi play a good role in admonishing princes’ morality, maintaining the power of emperor, keeping the peace between the King and the princes. To

6、 some extend，Zhangshi’s functions do good to maintain and last in Ming Dynasty. Because of the wrecking of System，shaking of faith especially the trampling of emperor, Zhangshi change qualitatively in great scope in Midd

7、le and Later Ming Dynasty. They turned to be perfunctory and irresponsible， corrupted and decayed． Their changes strengthen the corruption of princes’ system and place a heavy burden upon Ming Dynasty. Key words: Ming Dy
