2、ive, organizations need to be nimble rapidly translating new information into knowledge. The leadership style of supervisors directly influences employee job satisfaction, retention, and commitment to getting the job don
3、e. Management and leadership are two notions that may be interchangeably, but there is a huge difference between a manager and a leader. In this paper, I will differentiate between management and leadership. I will exami
4、ne the role and responsibilities of leaders in creating and maintaining a healthy organizational culture. I will make two recommendations to create and maintain a healthy organizational culture followed with a couple of
5、examples to support my recommendation.Management is defined as the people who administer a company, create policies, and provide the support necessary to implement the owners' business objectives. A manager sets goal
6、s and controls by directing, reacting, and demanding improvement. Managers demonstrate rationality and control. Managers are often persistent, tough-minded, hard working, intelligent, analytical, and tolerant. Many manag
7、ers are task oriented and have the bottom line of the organization in mind.There are many types of leaders with different personalities and styles of leadership. Leadership has been defined as direction, conduction, and
8、guidance. Leadership is the art of creating an environment and influencing people to willingly follow a chosen direction. A leader provides a clear vision and guides followers along a path that realizes that vision. Lead

10、g a civil work environment. If the management devises a plan for the company to succeed it is vital that they also convey those plans concisely to lower level management or leadership so that employees have a clear view
11、of the organizations objectives and are aware of the policies and procedures necessary for success. I believe that every organization should have a set infrastructure or outline that is the basis for each function within
12、 the organization. The leadership should communicate any changes in that infrastructure as quickly and accurately as humanly possible. For example, I have noticed in some organization that I have been employed by, that w
13、hen the management is willing to allow the leadership to perform their function within the organization the ship often runs more smoothly. The last organization that I worked for, which was Jackson Hewitt, has a good pla
14、n for the future of the organization and they like to include each of their employees in that plan. The organization offers bonus incentives for hard work and loyalty, is not afraid to implement punishment for laziness,
15、and outright misguided attempts to defame the organization. Often disagreements can be solved with simple communication allowing each involved party the chance to explain their position on any matter that may arise.In co
16、nclusion, managers and Leaders are two different individuals. The main difference between managing and leading is to make others not only pursue the orders that are given by an organization, but also want them to do it.
