4、uralHisty)inSouthKensingtonin1887.SomeobjectsinthecollectionmostnotablytheElginMarblesfromtheParthenonaretheobjectsofintensecontroversyofcallsfrestitutiontotheircountriesofigin.Until1997whentheBritishLibrary(previouslyce

9、門收集考古文物。1900年，博物館再次重新劃分，將書籍、手稿等內容分離組成新的大英圖書館。簡介：大中庭(GreatCourt)位于大英博物館中心，于2000年12月建成開放，目前是歐洲最大的有頂廣場。廣場的頂部是用2436塊三角形的玻璃片組成的。廣場中央為大英博物館的閱覽室，對公眾開放。大英博物館歷史上除了1972年的幾個月外，一直都是免費對公眾開放。2002年博物館面臨了嚴重的財政危機，由于館員抗議裁員，博物館甚至被迫關閉了幾天。幾個
