3、fDefense.1.Scope1.1ThispracticefacilitatestheinteroperabilityofNDEimagingdataacquisitionequipmentbyspecifyingtheimagedataincommonlyacceptedterms.ThispracticerepresentsaharmonizationofNDEimagingsystemsmodalitieswiththeNEM

4、AStardsPublicationtitledDigitalImagingCommunicationsinMedicine(DICOMsee:medical.nema.g)aninternationalstardfimagedataacquisitionreviewstagearchival.InadditionthispracticewillprovideastardsetofindustrialNDEspecificinfmati

5、onobjectdefinitionswhichtravelbeyondthescopeofstardDICOMmodalities.ThegoalofthispracticeistoprovideastardbywhichNDEimagesignaldatamaybedisplayedonbyanysystemconfmingtotheASTMDICONDEfmatregardlessofwhichNDEmodalitywasused

6、toacquirethedata.1.2ThispracticehasbeendevelopedtoovercometheissuesthatarisewhenarchivinganalyzingthedatafromavarietyofNDEtechniqueseachusingproprietarydataacquisitionsystems.Asdataacquisitionmodalitiesevolvedataacquired

7、inthepastmustremaindecipherable.ThispracticeproposesanimagedatafilefmatinsuchawaythatallthetechniqueparametersalongwiththeimagefilearepreservedregardlessofchangesinNDEtechnology.Thispracticewillalsopermittheviewingofavar

8、ietyofimagetypes(CTCRUltrasonicInfraredEddyCurrent)onasinglewkstationmaintainingallofthepertinenttechniqueparametersalongwiththeimagefile.ThispracticeaddressestheexchangeofdigitalinfmationbetweenNDEimagingequipment.1.3Th
