2、vidence method to have a deeply study of the medicine man culture in pre-Qin period.With some scattered historical documentary record and valuable archaeologicalmaterials ， I have detailed analysis of the culture connota

3、tion of medicine men,theevolution track of sorcery culture in pre-Qin period from homology to separation,andstudy the basic method and cultural activities of the medicine men in pre-Qin period.During the study, according

4、 to the time background of the pre-Qin period,In a literatureperspective,systematically analyse and explore the medicine men in pre-Qin period.In chapter 1,by studying the Chinese character witch,I research the the speci

5、alposition of medicine men and sorcery in Chinese culture. Primitive religion and thebackward productivity led to the appearance of the the wizard group who could connecthuman with the heaven and the hell. At that time t

6、hey took the responsibility of sacrificialrites,divination and cure of diseases,who was an important force to promote thedevelopment of the society.And witch also has important on the development of literature.In chapter

7、 2,according to the historical documentary records,I research therelationship between wizard and doctor and generally outline the developing process ofthe medicine man. The medicine men were homologous before the Western

8、 Zhou Dynasty.But in the Western Zhou Dynasty，professional doctors were appointed ,which finally ledto the separation of wizard and doctor. Since then,doctors had been developed by buildingsystermatic and scientific medi

9、cine system. While medicine men gradually declinedbecause of the concept of ghost worship. Literary classics also have a lot of vivid group“witch doctor“ image, through the changes of their functions, we also can see the

10、development of doctor and witch doctor’s relationship changes.The third chapter explores the pre-Qin medicine men’s cognition to the pathologyand their treatments. pre-Qin medicine men had strong primitive religious perc

11、eption onpathogenic factors and they often thought disease were caused by ghosts,gods, climatesand wars. Therefore their diagnostic methods were superstitious and scientific,which hadhad a long history and contributed to
