2、 newly dug highway slopes have brought more and more concerns of the public. Particularly in the mountain areas of eastern Liaoning, the climatic conditions and topographic features determine t
3、hat the best solution of these two issues is v egetation slope protection which complies with the development of slope protection. The following three aspects will be mainly discussed. (1) To p
4、rovide the comprehensive overview of research achievements at home and abroad and analyze the current eco- protection technology research characteristics. Based on that, the thesis will further st
5、udy mechanical effect, hydrological effect, vegetation effect and landscape effect of slope vegetation protection. Especially, microscopic model of the theoretical derivation and numerical calculatio
6、n on the additional plant slope cohesive force and the role of vertical root anchorage are about to be demonstrated in the thesis as well. (2) To describe slope vegetation restoration technol
7、ogy. Firstly, the thesis will detailedly analyze the principle of selecting vegetation and thereby screen out the most commonly used vegetation in the mountain areas of which ecological characte
8、ristics and growth characteristics will be described correspondingly. Secondly, the thesis will introduce the slope planting model and analyze its characteristics and applicability. Thirdly, the the
9、sis will study eco- protection technology and construction process of the geocell and three- dimensional earthwork mat in the perception of the theoretical principles and design calculations. (3) T
10、o illustrate the application of vegetation protection system on the highway slope administration and protection on the example of slope vegetation protection of Benhuan highway in Benxi. Keywords:
