4、 promote the extensivecommonality and interchangeability of our products, thus a good internationalcompetition environment among the world will be achieved. Therefore, Chinesegovernment attaches great importance to the a

5、doption of international standards, andour standardization department began to adopt international standards and advancedforeign standards gradually in 1982, so the translation work of ITU standard arose inthat proper ti

6、me and conditions.This thesis is a practice report on the translation of ITU standard names. Theauthor undertook the translation task with other two classmates in August of 2015,and the task takes us five months for the

7、whole translation practice. Through theprocess, the author gains rich experience in the translation of ITU standard names,and tries to analyse and solve translation difficulties under the guidance ofTranslation-shift The

8、ory.This translation practice report mainly consists of five chapters. The first chapterintroduces task background, task description, and task objectives and significance.Thesecond chapter describes the whole process of
