4、on the understanding and study of Britain’shistory and culture.The report has fully illustrated the text background and translation processthrough four aspects: task description, task process description, case analysis a

5、ndconclusion. Among the four parts, the case analysis is the core part which focuses ontwo kinds of problems in the translation, that is, the translation of sentences withrhetorical device and non-predicate verb structur

6、e. The former includes four types:alliteration and rhyme, transferred epithet, figure of speech and personification, towhich the solutions are using Chinese four-character phrases, extension and divisionand so on. While

7、the latter is translation of the non-predicate verb structure which canbe post-positive attributive and adverbial modifier, to which the solutions areadjusting the word order, conversion and recombination and changing th

8、e clauses intosingle sentences.The translation practice deepened the translator’s understanding of both languagestyle of biographical texts and translation skills of English rhetorical devices andnon-predicate verb struc
