2、 歷 史 學(xué) 2012 年 5 月 Abstract The Lvs of Xin’an was a famous literature family in the late Ming Dynasty and early Qing Dynasty in Heluo Area and contributed a lot to Heluo Culture. From the ancestor Lvjun living in

3、 Xin’an county in the end of Yuan Dynasty to the ninth generation LvWeiqi,the Lvs rose to fame in the late Ming Dynasty by passing down loyalty and filial piety. The Lvs went to decadence between Ming and Qing .With the

4、successful family education serving as the major reason for the family’s rising, the Lvs went to its highest time in Kangxi and Qianlong Period not only for the many officials but for the literature works, with LvLvheng

5、and LvQianheng as representatives. After Jiaqing Period, the Lvs declined. The rise and fall of the Lvs in more than two hundred years reflected the changes of the dynasty. As the most important bureaucratic intellectual

6、s in Xin’an county, the officials in the Lvs family entered the political stratum mainly by successfully attending the imperial exam and focused on intermediate officers, civil administration officials and Claims Examine

7、rs. In their official career, they were loyal and upright, diligent and honest. The distinctive and successful family education was the major reason for the formation of the literature family. The Lvs attached great impo

8、rtance to the moral cultivation, and filial piety so they were loyal and devoted to the people .They took great pains to invigorate their family and appreciated the study of poetry and made friends with literators. All t

9、hese traditions were handed down from generation to generation to promote the development of HeLuo culture. The Lvs made great contributions to the culture and education of HeLuo Area. They dabbled in the learning of cl

10、assics, poetry and prose writings, dramas, phonology, textology, chorography and so on. They built academies and education groups to promote neo-Confucianism and Wang’s mind theory, which formed a strong academic atmosph
