4、heNSSFappointed6domesticfundmanagersfdomesticequitybondmates.ThemanagerscomprisedBoshi(nowrenamedBosera)ChangshengHuaxia(alsoknownas“ChinaAMC”)HarvestPenghuaSouthernallconsideredamongthebestintheChinesefundmanagementindu
5、stry.TheNSSF2003annualreptindicatesthattheamountofassetsmatedtothesemanagerswasRMB32bn(US$4bn)approximately24%ofthetotalassetsattheendoftheyear.In2004theNSSFfurtherappointed4additionalmanagers–CICCChinaMerchantsEfundGuot
6、aif“stableallocation”mates.Bytheendof2005theamountofassetsmatedtodomesticfundmanagershadincreasedtoRMB73bn(USD9bn)approximately34%oftheNSSF’stotalassets.ThedecliningequitymarketinChinaduring2004thefirstpartof2005didnotbo
7、dewellftheNSSF’sdebutequityinvestments.TheNSSF’soverallrealisedreturnsin20042005wereonlyslightlyabove3%.Thesituationchangedin20062007duetothedramaticreboundofthedomesticequitymarkets.Duringthese2yearsthemajAshareindicesw
8、ereupby45foldtherealisedreturnoftheNSSFwasreptedlyover9%in2006followedby38.9%in2007mostofwhichwasattributedtoequityinvestments.ThebullrunintheAsharemarketin2006thefirstpartof2007wasfollowedbya60%declineinlater20072008mak
