2、Huang Zhen did much research on Confucian classics, history, neo-Confucianism and the thoughts of various school, and he got a lot of new achievements. Huang Zhen’s thought aroused attention in early times, Huang Zongxi
3、and Quan Zuwang all described it, and also the followers took Huang and Quan’s idea as a guide when they discussed Huang Zhen’s thought. Since 1960s, the study on Huang Zhen’s thought have come to a new period, people we
4、re strongly homoplasy because of the limitation of the research method, they all regarded Huang Zhen as a materialism. In fact, this kind of method is limited, we can not grasp all attributes of Chinese philosopher if we
5、 measure their thoughts under the rules of western philosophy. Not only Chinese philosophy but western philosophy is a concrete form of thought under the universal philosophy, they have their own characteristics. It will
6、 cause the western idea’s resurrection in ancient china if we interpret Chinese philosopher’s thoughts under western rules. Philosophy is in its times. Huang Zhen’s thought was unique with its era characteristics, that i
7、s to say Huang Zhen’s thought was on the base of emphasizing statecraft, he wanted to rescue the dangerous south sung dynasty by playing the function of his thought. The thesis “ on the study of Huang Zhen’s pragmatic le
8、arning thought” analysised on all aspects of Huang Zhen’s idea, such as real principle theory, actual Hsing theory, actual function theory, practice theory and practical utility theory on the base of former research resu
9、lts. Huang Zhen used “Confucianism” a lot in his own work, and he gave an accurate definition to Confucianism, so Huang Zhen’s first acknowledgement on the narrow sense of Confucianism should occupy status in the academi
10、c history. Huang Zhen’s pragmatic learning thought had inheriting and modification in the process of criticizing Zhu Xi’s thought, it was so specific with era characteristics. His thought reflected the condition of south
11、 sung dynasty and criticized the academic ideas in his time. At the same time, Huang Zhen’s pragmatic learning thought also had the meaning in ideological history. In late Ming and early Qing dynasty, Huang Zhen’s though
12、t produced great influence in academic field, it directly enlightened Gu Tinglin’s criticism on the learning of Hsin-Hsing of the sung confucianists, or it was so related with Yan Xizhai on the discussion of Hsing. All t
