2、 society, procrastination becomes a problem behavior when the individual implements tasks and decisions. Modern scholars began to explore the positive significance of procrastination, and procrastination is divided into

3、positive and negative group. Procrastination as a form of coping with stress, and is a less socially accepted way to deal with, choose procrastination will lead to more stress and anxiety? Once the beginning of procrasti

4、nation, procrastinators have to suppress the negative views. Ego depletion caused by against this high level of anxiety, the results will affect the performance. Therefore, this study focused on a problem is “procrastina

5、tion in the overall population on the basis of negative evaluation, whether positive procrastination as an adaptation to cope with stress”. We used the following three studies to dicuss this question: Research one, trans

6、lated and revised the 《Positive Procrastination Scale》 , refere to the concept and structure of “positive procrastination” proposed by Chu and Choi in 2005. The results show that the scale consisted of 16 items and four

7、factors, including: outcome satisfaction, preference for pressure, intentional decision to procrastinate, ability to meet deadlines. Research two, using the Stereotypic Explanatory Bias Scale to explore, with the number

8、and tendency of attribution, the results show that the three types of subjects all consider procrastination lead to negative consequences, and the positive group have least stereotype. Research three employ mixed design

9、with three factors through negative - procrastination stereotype are activated. The results showed that when stereotype threat activating, both positive and negative procrastinators showed assimilation effect in complex

10、task, while positive procrastinators showed contrast effect in simple task. This confirmed that stereotype activation does result in anxiety of procrastinators. Finally, the limitations of the present research were discu
