1、入世后,我國(guó)與世界各國(guó)的商務(wù)交往越來(lái)越頻繁,這使得既熟練掌握英語(yǔ),通曉商務(wù)知識(shí)又有較強(qiáng)商務(wù)英語(yǔ)應(yīng)用能力的人才需求量倍增。為了適應(yīng)這一需求,各高職院校紛紛開辦商務(wù)英語(yǔ)專業(yè)。商務(wù)英語(yǔ)教學(xué)也因此備受關(guān)注。然而,目前高職商務(wù)英語(yǔ)教學(xué)狀況卻不盡人意,主要原因是傳統(tǒng)的教學(xué)模式不能保證商務(wù)英語(yǔ)的教學(xué)效果。近年來(lái)國(guó)內(nèi)已有少數(shù)學(xué)校開始嘗試“虛擬公司訓(xùn)練系統(tǒng)”(VCTS)教學(xué)模式,該系統(tǒng)借助硬件和軟件實(shí)現(xiàn)仿真的商務(wù)環(huán)境,使學(xué)生“體驗(yàn)”商務(wù)實(shí)踐,并在實(shí)踐中獲
2、得英語(yǔ)能力、商務(wù)知識(shí)、及商務(wù)英語(yǔ)應(yīng)用能力的全方位提高,因此具有傳統(tǒng)的教學(xué)方式無(wú)法企及的優(yōu)勢(shì)。但VCTS還很少應(yīng)用于高職商務(wù)英語(yǔ)教學(xué)。
最近,我院(湖南外國(guó)語(yǔ)職業(yè)學(xué)院)自主創(chuàng)新了EEBVRM(通用英語(yǔ)+特殊用途英語(yǔ)+虛擬公司訓(xùn)練系統(tǒng)+真崗實(shí)習(xí)+培養(yǎng)質(zhì)量全程實(shí)時(shí)監(jiān)控)培養(yǎng)模式(其中的V指的是“虛擬公司訓(xùn)練系統(tǒng)”),并率先在商務(wù)英語(yǔ)教學(xué)中實(shí)施“虛擬公司訓(xùn)練系統(tǒng)”教學(xué)模式。本研究以我院大三商務(wù)英語(yǔ)專業(yè)0801(50人)和0804(
3、52人)兩個(gè)班級(jí)作為實(shí)驗(yàn)對(duì)象,進(jìn)行一學(xué)期的教學(xué)實(shí)踐,探討了“虛擬公司訓(xùn)練系統(tǒng)”教學(xué)模式在高職商務(wù)英語(yǔ)教學(xué)中的有效性及學(xué)生對(duì)于VCTS所持的態(tài)度。
通過(guò)對(duì)前后測(cè),問卷調(diào)查及訪談的結(jié)果分析,筆者發(fā)現(xiàn)經(jīng)過(guò)一學(xué)期的實(shí)踐,雖然實(shí)驗(yàn)班與對(duì)照班學(xué)生的英語(yǔ)綜合水平差異并不大,但實(shí)驗(yàn)班商務(wù)英語(yǔ)知識(shí)大大增強(qiáng),商務(wù)英語(yǔ)應(yīng)用能力明顯高于對(duì)照班,此外VCTS深受學(xué)生歡迎,學(xué)生的英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)興趣增強(qiáng),自信心大大提高。該研究證實(shí)了VCTS應(yīng)用于高職商業(yè)英語(yǔ)
